DIY Cross Decal Accent Wall

Apartment living is never easy when you have that creative mindset that sometimes won’t let you rest lol Recently my family and I uprooted to a different city to be closer to our loved ones after having our first baby boy 💙 The move has been great but life as we once knew has definitely been different. My husband and I went from living in our beautiful 3 bedroom, 1300 sq ft. ranch style home to now living in a 2 bedroom 1100 apartment on the 3rd floor 😬 Now keep in mind, this is all temporary. With the crazy housing market and living in a bigger and busier city we wanna try and see how this new way of living will be for us without making any serious decisions like purchasing a home. Now with all that being said I decided it was best to begin a blog to describe my DIY’s and other home decor items in a more in depth manner. Now let’s start off with this accent wall ✨ This project was fairly easy but time consuming. Each cross displayed was hand cut and made by hand. Yes, there are cross decals being sold out there that would look much more beautiful but with being a first time stay at home mommy, you could imagine my current budget 🤣 I purchased black duck tape from Walmart and went to work in cutting strips to assemble my crosses. Once all my strips were cut it was time to decide how I wanted to lay out my pattern on the wall. Once all of that was figured out it was the simple part of just sticking the crosses onto the wall. With apartment living you have to be mindful of holes and all that jazz but thankfully the duck tape held up well without causing any paint damage to the wall 👏🏼 This whole wall cost me less than $10 to do; considering I had my own scissors on hand already and only needed to purchase the duck tape.
